ST ANNE’S DAY STAR
St Anne’s Day Star was built under the Tamil Nadu Government Financial Aid granted by Chief Minister Selvi. J. Jayalalitha and inaugurated on the World Disability Day on 03.12.2003 at Jayaraj Annapackiam College by Sr. Edwige, Mother General of our Congregation, Sr. Salvae Regina, Assistant Mother General, and Sr. A. Maria Alphonsal, College Secretary.
Children from 5 to 18 are cared by the teachers of our institution. Love and concern are not enough for mentally disabled children, to find their talents we use the scale MDPs, then we divide the children in to groups and train them.
The learning process of the children are facilitated through Physical education, Speech practice, Sports practice, Yoga practice, Reading practice, Number concept, Time concept, Money concept, Language concept, Dance, Games etc.
The students are trained to make ribbon garlands, gift wrapping, Frankincense sticks, paper cups, greeting cards, pearl studs, bangles, bracelets, phenol, soap oil, soap powder to improve their vocational skills.
- Our students had participated and won 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals in the state and district level sports competitions.
- They achieved the first place in state level running race.
- They got first and second place in district level long Jump.
- They won the overall shield and first place in district level fancy dress. Dance and speech competition.
