OBJECTIVES

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College, established in 2004, strives to enhance and sustain the quality of the institution. It aims:

• To arrange for periodic assessment and accreditation of the institution
• To promote quality in teaching–learning and research
• To encourage self-evaluation, accountability, autonomy, and innovation
• To undertake quality-related research studies, consultancy, and training programmes
• To collaborate with stakeholders in higher education for quality evaluation, promotion, and sustenance

FUNCTIONS

• Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Institution
• Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education
• Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes an promotion of quality circles
• Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement
• Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality – related activities
• Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up
• Identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the institutional processes through feedback from the stakeholders
• Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC
