                                                                            Activities

 

  • Bible Day was celebrated on 13th October, 2022.
  • Holistic Development Programme for the teaching faculty, the non-teaching staff and students was organized on 14th and 15th October, 2022.
  • Twelve students and a staff participated in the 28 th State Youth Prayer Convention,Grace 2023, organized by the Campus Ministry, St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirappallion 4 th and 5 th February, 2023.
  • 10 students students participated in the 4th State Level Youth Prayer Convention, Mercy, organized by the Campus Ministry of St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Palayamkottai on 4th and 5th March, 2023.
  • Bible Day was celebrated on 21st September, 2023.
  • Holistic Development Programme for the teaching faculty, the non-teaching staff and students was organized on 18th and 19th December, 2023.
  • The Campus Ministry for the academic year 2024-2025 was inaugurated along with College Union Inauguration on 19.07.2024.
  • Daily Morning prayer sessions from 8:50 AM to 9:10 AM provided spiritual nourishment through Bible readings and reflections, strengthening the faith of students and staff. Additionally, weekly prayer and counselling sessions by Dr.Mrs.Sahaya Rani and Rev.Sr.Vimala offered personalised guidance and support.
  • Eucharistic Adoration on Every First Thursday and Eucharistic Mass on every First Friday
  • In Lenten season, we organised special adoration and sacrament of Confession
  • The Bible Day Celebrations on September 12, 2025, were a remarkable success, featuring various competitions, including quizzes, tableau performances, and singing contest, along with an inspiring speech by Rev.Fr. Lawrence. Leading up to the main events, engaging activities such as drawing competition, a treasure hunt, and a written test deepened participants understanding of the scriptures.
  • The Holistic Development Programme on September 20-21, 2024, provided transformative spiritual experiences through retreats for both students and staff. Sessions led by Salesian priests and Fr. Amal Raj focused on faith , self- reflection, and well- being, leaving a profound impact on all participants.
  • Sr.R.Shantha Mary Joshitta, Secretary & Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Dr.Sr.S.Iruthaya Kalai Selvam, Assistant Professor of Zoology and Sr. T. Johny Dathees, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, participated in the Xavier Board Annual and General Body Meeting (AGM) 2024, on the theme “ Evolving Trends in Higher Education in the digital Age” held at Trinity College, Jalandhar, Panjab from 14th to 16th September, 2024 organised by Xavier Board of Higher Education in India.
  • The Christmas Celebration was joyously observed on 21st December, 2024.
  • Fourteen students from the Campus Ministry attended the 30th State Youth Prayer Convention, Grace 2025.
  • Daily morning prayer sessions from 8:50 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. provided spiritual nourishment through Bible readings and reflections, strengthening the faith of students and staff. Additionally, weekly prayer and counselling sessions conducted by Rev. Sr. Vimala offered personalised guidance and support.

  • Dr. Sr. R. Shantha Mary Joshitta, Secretary and Assistant Professor of Computer Science; Dr. Sr. S. Iruthaya Kalai Selvam, Assistant Professor of Zoology; and Dr. J. R. Anoja, Assistant Professor of History, participated in the 25th National Triennial Conference of the Xavier Board of Higher Education in India on the theme “Empowering Minds, Embracing Change: Reimagining Catholic Higher Education for a Global Tomorrow”, held from 18 October 2025 to 21 October 2025 at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore.

  • Sunday devotion sessions were regularly conducted for interested students, and counselling support was provided to promote their spiritual and emotional well-being.
